Bev camping.......again

I recently attended the RVing Womens Convention in Mesa Arizona. There

were 435 attendees. This photo is of friends gathered to hear my

geocaching friend,Martha, play her bagpipes! The large rottweiler sang

along.

Camping at Jalama Beach is awesome, especially when the dolphins are

gamboling in the surf!

This is a view from my campsite at Lake Skinner last week,  We watched
the hot air balloons go up while all was still and serene... except
for a few quacks from the local ducks!

This is a picture of my brother Chuck and me on our recent trip to
Charleston, South Carolina.  We are standing in front of the USS
Yorktown. We were in Charleston to visit Chuck's son Daniel who is in
the Navy attending the nuclear sub training facility  there.

BY THE  WAY -TEACHER CONNECTIONS:

  Chuck was science teacher of the year in Irvine last year - or year
before now that a new school year has started - ( I've lost track of
school time since I've retired...) and was one of the top five in the
state this past  year. He'd never tell you that he gets too embarrassed,
but I am proud of my baby brother!  When we were in Charleston we got to
visit Suzanne Dechert's son, also Daniel, who took us on a tour of his -
he is founder and CEO - company's new high tech facility there.

Always the first day of school.............but with no students!!

Today we met for our annual first day of school luncheon. It was held at Pat and Oscar's on the Pond and we were over 50 strong including over a dozen new retirees!!
